Gohan flies up from the spaceship and skull-blows Raditz in the chest, cracking his armor and knocking him down. The alien is stunned, but recovers quickly. As he is about to kill the boy, whose energy evaporated as quickly as it appeared, Raditz is caught in a Full-Nelson by Goku. With the alien's damaged armor in a perfect position, Goku tells Piccolo to blast through them both with the Makankosappo!

     The demon's shot fatally pierces both of their bodies. Raditz cannot believe what Goku has done, so Piccolo explains that Goku knows he can be wished back to life with the Dragonballs. Far away on another planet, the two remaining Saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa, take a break from their conquests to listen in on what Raditz's Scouter is transmitting. The two decide to finish their current planet off later, and head for Earth.

     With his dying breath, Raditz reveals that the other two Saiyans will arrive on Earth in one year's time. Soon after Bulma and the others catch up to where Goku lay, he also breathes his last, and his body disappears.
